The  Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) volunteer programme is a 3-week cultural immersion and volunteer program with 2 weeks spent at the project site in Awendo and 1 week spent enjoying sightseeing activities and safari tours in some of the most iconic tour destinations like Masaai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. 

This programme offers you the opportunity to learn about sustainable development and a new culture, and make a meaningful and sustainable contribution to rural communities living in extreme poverty. By joining this program, you are covered by RAWCS insurance and  you will be a part of a group of like-minded people led by a trained RAWCS Team Leader.

You’ll learn about Kenyan culture, experience living in a rural village, and work with local communities and organisations to build facilities that contribute to their community development initiatives.The Rotary and odede Foundation are commited to bringing change to the communities by initiating development projects which focus on the following  areas: 
  • Education and literacy
  • Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Maternal health and Child Health
  • Economic development through Agriculture 

As such we need volunteers with the following skillsets and more:
